Our engineers and technical support have been recruited from some of the major utilities, water and energy companies, civil defence or the emergency services. They are all recruited on the basis of significant operational expertise and experience in disaster response.
(ES)² is also advised by a number of former senior officers from the European emergency services and highly experienced crisis managers.
Franck Galland, the founder
(ES)² was established and is managed by Franck Galland.
With over 15 years’ experience, 6 of which as Security Director of Suez Environnement, Franck Galland is a recognised leader in crisis prevention and operational risk management.
He was deployed to over 30 countries to carry out post crisis reviews and risk assessments. These have included water supply networks in Tianjin and Qingdao before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
He has also written extensively on the vulnerability of critical infrastructure and is regularly invited to speak at international defence and security conferences.
He is an adviser to the Haut Comité Français pour la Défense Civile (HCFDC) - the French High Committee for Civil Defence - and associate researcher at the Water, Energy & Environment Research Center in Beirut (WEERC) and at the Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique (FRS) in Paris.
